Here we go again Here we go again; the angels call It’s where fear begins and black snakes crawl Here we go again; it’s where the dreaming starts Where the battles fought and the curtains part Where the dice roll, on an endless plain As the angels all sing “Here we go again” The skin on the bones stretches tight as a drum As the rhythm pulses till the meaning comes With a blood red sky and turquoise trees Odin’s fire burns, setting spirits free The battle goes on through the love the pain As the angels all sing “Here we go again”. Here we go again the angels sing Here we go again let them chance it friends Here we go again give them all a hand Here we go again strike up the band Here we go again the angels call As new God’s rise where the old God’s fall A baby cry’s as two ravens circle fly ‘round She’s soothed by a feather as it falls to the ground The raven’s fly on even the wind can’t explain As the angels all sing “Here we go again” Here we go again, all debts must be paid The show begins, the call has been made Tears flow like rain to wash naked eyes In a life that is one long whispered goodbye So, the shuffling, the beginnings, the distances, the ends, As the angels all sing “Here we go again” Here we go again the angels call As young lovers choose and twilight falls We bury our dead on the bed of all bones While the lovers entwine to find their way home On the lonely journey across the ancient plain As the angels all sing “Here we go again”

Dance your heart to me A smile across an open room Life you said begins beyond the tomb Memories, dreams, scattered incomplete, Like a late-night walk down a darkened street Could have sworn I knew you somewhere before A distant land some other war Your hand, upon the door Love can be cruel, a promise lost A wicked wind, a double-cross Sometimes lies reveal, the most truth Ah but love itself, is our greatest proof So, come on now take a chance with me Dance your heart across that sea Dance your heart, dance your heart Across to me I dreamt you in a dream I was dreaming about, Woke up shivering, mirrors full of doubt Time at an end, a thief in the night An open window rain falling so light. So many now, lost and alone, Misunderstood, trying to atone Oh, I’ve been down that road, I’m here to say “it’s ok” Confusion pain ah, love itself ordains it, that way So, come on now take a chance with me Dance your heart across that sea Dance your heart, dance your heart Across to me Collaborators, partisans, Early Dawn, endings began Betrayal, sabotage, figures on a distant hill, Love destroyed, a heart beating still.

Lachlan river blues I’ve got the Lachlan River blues, got a troubled mind I’ve got the Lachlan River blues, got a troubled mind Miss you darling miss you all the time Well whisky might kill you; love can do the same Well whisky might kill you; love can do the same Got a woman like poison, running through my veins Seen that rider coming, coming from the west Seen that rider coming, coming from the west Got eyes like milk, big watch on his chest Take to the river, float my blues away Take to the river, float my blues away Tears like midnight, nothing more to say I’ve got the Lachlan River blues, got a troubled mind I’ve got the Lachlan River blues, got a troubled mind Miss you darling, miss you all the time

Hope for any sinner It’s been hard times, bad lines Rough roads and heavy loads Low skies, reasons why Being caught, getting throw'd My dreams are getting thinner But love still keeps me warm I guess there’s hope for every sinner Like the breaking of the dawn With the coming of the dawn Was wounded pride, night rides Ways lost and chilling’ frosts Frozen river, a melting sliver Then all returns, nothing’s lost A fragile heart, false starts Truth and lies, reasons why Mis-steps taken, faith shaken Disappointments, all rolling by. My dreams are getting thinner But love still keeps me warm I guess there’s hope for every sinner Like the breaking of the dawn With the coming of the dawn

Memory plagues Memory plagues come laying waste, to your life And you inoculate as best as best you can deep into the night, To the dawn, Till the light returns And the shadows of the wasteland Fade and turn Sweat run’s like an ancient river, through a drought ridden land Muddy streams of memory trickle, through a mind like sand Time all gone, And the night’s own light Flicker’s like a candle Waiting for its Christ. And the colours of the morning Come dappled, draped across the floor Like a flag dragged in defeat Across a song of never more Some scattered notes on the table A blue note hanging in the air As the tree of the knowledge of good and evil Is standing almost bare. Sometimes it’s just one note that pulls it all back from the edge So listen carefully, if you're Out on that ledge Don't hold those fears, as the night calls your name Let it all just be, till the dawn Comes again And in the scattered light of dawn let those Shadow demons roam, Don't try to hold them back boys, they need to find their own way home. Take care, lean into your night, Don't be afraid, it's just a different shade Of light And the colours of the morning Were dappled, draped across the floor Like a flag dragged in defeat Across a song of never more Some scattered notes on the table A blue note hanging in the air It’s the sound of endless sighing, It’s the most ancient prayer So, take care Lean into your night Don’t be afraid, it’s just a different shade of light.

Always something missing I live my life with something missing, always something lost. Always just a bit beyond, how to count the cost? Always something missing, maybe it’s just gone, Could be on its way, but where's it coming from? Half opened eyes, a halfway open door, A raindrop hanging waiting, sunshine across the floor. A time forgotten yet recalled, a grasping for some hold, Like ribbons in the wind, freeing forgotten souls. I live my life with something missing, Somewhere between the found and lost. Always dancing just beyond, Who counts it’s worth? Who knows the cost? Cinnamon skin and hazel eyes, a red calico dress, A white rose in her hair, perfume where she slept. “Eve”, her name she told me, as we wandered by the piers, She said the tides were just the sway, of all forgotten tears. You soon learn the score, that no dog gets its bone, You try to touch, to catch, to keep, you try but nothings shown. That feeling comes and calls and runs, I can almost touch it here, Something’s always missing though, yet at times it’s so near Maybe it’s never meant to come, the always missing, always lost, I wonder though, what price you pay, and can you count the cost? It can’t be gold or precious jewels, or medals, rank or such, I asked Eve, she smiled and said, “I look, but never touch”.

Restless mind blues Well, I'm leaving this town now, see what I can find Well, I'm leaving this town now, see what I can find I got a restless heart, got a restless mind That woman I’ve been loving, she sure don’t seem to care That woman I’ve been loving, she sure don’t seem to care It’s time to be leaving, must be some way out of here I'm leaving, I'm leaving, see what I can find I'm leaving, I'm leaving, see what I can find Got a restless heart, got a restless mind I’ve got a gambling woman, she gambles all the time I’ve got a gambling woman, she gambles all the time Gambles with my heart, gambles with my mind I’ve got an ache in my heart, keeps rolling all the time I’ve got an ache in my heart, keeps rolling all the time The road keeps on rolling, like my restless mind I'm leaving, I'm leaving, see what I can find I'm leaving, I'm leaving, see what I can find Got a restless heart, got a restless mind

Some things can’t be paid for Every man has to pay the price that’s owed That’s the code, of this endless road But a wrong move can find a yesterday Has a price to pay, that’s more than gold Sometimes the only way a man can pay, is with his soul Well you take your pills, drink that whisky down Play the clown, wrong side of town The days of trust, are far away That’s a price to pay, that’s more than gold Sometimes the only way a man can pay, is with his soul Some things can’t be paid for some deals just can’t be done You might chase the tail of the dragon stare into the setting sun Hide beneath the volcano while you give the dice a roll And crawl out of the shadows, paying with your soul So, you take care if you’re on that road Can be a heavy load, to pay what’s owed A life in pieces scattered along the way That’s a price to pay, that’s more than gold Sometimes the only way a man can pay, is with his soul If you’ve got a life where the wind don’t blow too cold Well you take hold, don’t you fold And say a prayer for those whose yesterday’s Have a price to pay, that’s more than gold Sometimes the only way a man can pay, is with his soul

Jesus the railway man There was some kind of mission in those late night confessions But the point was nearly always lost In search for absolution he’d discovered crucifixion He didn’t even need a cross No Jesus didn’t even need to have a cross He worked on the railways, said he was a brakeman Back in some South American town But the story was confusing and the magic he was using Always seemed to let him down Yes Jesus was always coming down He’d done some terrible thing sometime Maybe a crime against humanity Maybe killed his mother Betrayed his brother? I heard him saying, “Jesus, Forgive me Jesus” I heard him saying, “Jesus Oh Jesus, forgive me” There was cactus dust in his brain and tequila on the shelf And a picture of some boy soldier on the desk For an hour or two somewhere, between the many and the few He was blessed, like Christ himself Jesus too was blessed. By a silver flowing gutter on a diamond strewn street With sapphire lightning dancing by A full moon bouquet over Black Wattle Bay Jesus met his fate and his desire Yes, this death was Jesus’ fate and his desire. At the Victory hotel we gathered ‘round slowly To talk and to drink and confess To seek absolution and foster our grieving To recall and to try to forget. Now back in some South American town The revolution’s still on its way

If You Cut Me I Will Bleed If you cut me, I will bleed, and that’s the seed it seems That’s necessary for revolution It’s just the way this game, of the pleasure and the pain Leads us on its evolution Don’t be afraid, nothings ever stayed the same It’s always changing, always changing Deck chairs on the Titanic? No, there’s no need to panic It’s much more than just some rearranging Don’t be afraid, it’s just the way Don’t be afraid, it’s meant to be The humming bird is humming, its being by becoming The best humming bird that it can be There’s nothing lost or found, listen, hear the sound It’s the music of the word that set us free The journey of revolution, the pain of evolution That’s our glory, that’s our glory The future and the past, are blowing through the heart As we’re learning, how to read our story On the field of grace, we’re glimpsing our first face There’s no mistake, everything’s in order Blink and you might miss it, this information snippet That we need to bleed, to cross the border On the razors we stand, each woman, each man You are That, you are That Open, closed, hidden, exposed It’s all the same, you are That Don’t be afraid it’s just the way Don’t be afraid it’s meant to be Up or down, straight line or around Perceptions only what you’ve found No word can give it name, it’s all the same It’s here, there is no halfway Take your lover for the dance, there is no chance It’s meant to be, it’s meant to be Follow by the light keep dancing through the night Trust the music, it’s meant to be.

Rocket ship blues I’ve got the rocket ship blues, I’ve been travelling faster than the speed of light I’ve got the rocket ship blues, been travelling faster than the speed of light Now I’ve ended up in this space, where it’s always night Warp factor nine, well you know that’s fast Warp factor nine, well you know that’s fast I’ve been living up my future, back there in my past It’s so confusing, I don’t know if it’s now or then It’s so confusing, I don’t know if it’s now or then I saw you walk away that time, then I saw you walk away, again Oh, oh, I got the rocket ship blues Oh, oh, the mean old rocket ship blues Even Buck Rodgers, would not believe, all the things I have seen Even Buck Rodgers, would not believe, all the things I have seen Can’t remember where I’m going, I can’t forget where I’ve been I’ve mined for minerals way out beyond the stars I’ve mined for minerals way out beyond the stars And I’ve hung my head and cried, in the Galaxy Bars I’ve got the rocket ship blues I’ve been travelling faster than the speed of light I’ve got the rocket ship blues I’ve been travelling faster than the speed of light Now I’ve ended up in this space, where it’s always night Oh, oh, I got the rocket ship blues Oh, oh, the mean old rocket ship blues
